L&B Gallery is located in the Poblenou district. Since its first exhibition, L&B Gallery's intention is to create a coherent and solid dialogue, a unique and topical exhibition program that opts for the power of consensus between artists, critics, institutions and market. L&B aims to show off the works of the artists with whom they collaborate, offering them to freely face the exhibition space in order to create a proposal that can somehow represent a challenge for everyone (artist, gallery and public).
The gallery is now in an internationalization stage focusing on the creation of ties with abroad, participating in national and international fairs.

“Always within the admirable sense of coherence that shows throughout his career, his recent production shows a splendid maturity, an increasingly subtle and refined use of his characteristic tools: transparency, hybridization with the photographic language, the combination of the manual with the technological... so that he manages, -especially in his diptychs and triptychs- to transmit, to communicate something new, a deep sense of purity, an atmosphere impregnated with spirituality and transcendence.” Text by Raquel Medina de Vargas

Joan ill (Vilanova i la Geltrú, 1954; lives and works in Barcelona and Camp de Tarragona) is loyal to the concept of pictorial window, keeping his attention on the contrast of textures and transparency. Deviating from the tools of traditional painting, in his practice the artist combines photographic and pictorial languages, manual work and technology. Through a pretended austerity of materials -wood, linen and pigments- that refer to arte povera, the artist explores into the limits of painting. Obtaining hybrid and almost three-dimensional works, the frame becomes part of his pieces, giving access to poetic and enigmatic universes.
...“Joan ill has the gift to poeticize the banal; to draw from the thousand times repeated landscape a subtle feeling of transcendence; to evoke with absolute contemporaneity the immemorial of man’s relationship with nature.”... Article by Zéna Zalzal, L’Orient-Le Jour
