About the gallery
Mayoral is an art gallery founded in 1989 with locations in Barcelona and Paris. It organizes an exhibition program that spans from post-war art to contemporary art, featuring artists such as Tàpies, Chillida, Millares, Saura, Zóbel, Francés, and Chordà, as well as key 20th-century artists such as Miró and Picasso.
It develops rigorously curated projects that are the result of an exhaustive research process. The gallery has the support of the artists' families, foundations, and other institutions, as well as the collaboration of a large number of collectors and museums, both public and private, to fulfill its mission. In recent years, Mayoral has carried out projects such as “Miró's Studio,” retrospectives dedicated to Millares, Tàpies, Saura, and Chordà, and dialogues between artists such as Joan Miró/Zao Wou-Ki and Francés/Vieira da Silva, which have delved into the creative process of the artists and analyzed how the message of their work remains relevant today.
The gallery participates in the Art|Basel, Art|Basel Miami Beach, Art|Basel Hong Kong, TEFAF Maastricht, and ARCOmadrid fairs.
